Curriculum Description
Global health practice course
This course is a practical course that provides students with the opportunity to apply global health-related knowledge learned through classes to solve actual global health problems at home and abroad. Students have the opportunity to identify problems in the international health field, understand local health-related needs, and explore, plan, and propose problem-solving methods considering local socio-cultural characteristics by expanding their research and practical experience acquired through practice.
Global Environmental Health Practice
Environmental health experts need to identify problems in various environments and experience understanding and management of the areas that affect the human body and ecosystem. In developing countries, there are still several environmental health problems that have not been resolved in Korea. Since cultivation of knowledge through understanding these problems and improvement of the level of environmental health awareness are insufficient only by reading from books, it is intended to give students an opportunity to experience themselves. The main purpose of this course is to accumulate experience of identifying and improving practical environmental health problems through practice of investigating and evaluating environmental health problems occurring in developing countries.
